Quick Survey...

Hello folks!  Quick question - the return of Day by Day and the Deux News - interesting or not?  Value added or not?  Remember this is all about my own ego, I mean my beloved readers.

PS - Take a look at my del.ico.com on the sidebar.  A great article from The Prospect on why the Middle East doesn't matter and a rant from Kaplan on the inappropriateness of Congress legislating foreign policy.

PPS - I am preparing to send one of my best sailors over to the sandbox.  She is a heavy duty civic works manager in her civilian life and a single mom.  She is perhaps the one of the finest people I have met (myself included).  She has been recalled once before and is now off to perform again for the nation.

Thanks for swinging by my blog. I alwaysa appreciate a new visitor. Let your sailor know that I wish her well. What kind of engineer are you?

Mechanical by training, but I have moved on to general management. I still get to do some real engineering with the firm once in a while and the Navy too.

Methinks you must be a CO/XO of a DDG? I'm also a citizen-solider that works at a BAC. Nice blog!

I like having the Day by Day and newslinks. But I am lazy, so I like it when someone aggregates for me...

I love the return of Day by Day! I have even just posted a rant on "What we have learned from Chris Muir" over at EP417. Feel free to ad to the list...

The news link can come or go, I find it a bit cluttery myself.

Also, the visitors seem to be leaning a bit too far to the right of late, and a tad too military oriented, said the self-designated 51st century pansexual time-traveler and all around rogue...I prefer the old balance myself, but of course I have not been around enough to stir things up.

At least Frog is back. Good guess Rick, but I am the CO of a NSF (Naval Security Force). Spent some time on DDGs back at DESRON FOUR ZERO, but that's a path I won't be taking.

I did get a nod for an OIC / AOIC of a UAV unit in a hilly, landlocked country. But I think they want a pilot - interested?

Hilly, landlocked? How subtle...teehee.

P.S. Still waiting for comments from all on "What I Learned From Chris Muir".....

Somehow I think the NSF would be better than a DESRON. Spent plenty of time around a staff getting told how to "best" employ the aircraft.

UAVs, huh? No thanks. I never was good at Playstation. But maybe that could get me a crack at a DFC or Air Medal...Are they serious?

Thanks for the blogroll!

Please tell your sailor that I wish her fair winds and following seas.

Captain Jack was funny about Day by Day......

Thanks Mags! (it is alright if I call you Mags?...Some people are so sensitive about those things....)

As long as it's said in a way that conveys absolute devotion.

Rick, I kod you not. We need an OIC / AOIC to run a UAV det in A*********n. I can forward you the billet and contact info if you're up for it!

They need a senior O3 or O4. They wouldn't take me (as I am not an aviator - boo hoo).

Remember, no matter what you miss out on in this life.....it is better to wear the black shoe. I explained that over and over to all the brown shoes this weekend (hehehehe).

absolutly. Don't be discouraged, Deux. My eyesight won't even let me be a flight attendant, much less a pilot.

That's too bad Capt. 'cause I am betting you would be really good with the "coffee, tea, or me" line.

and you should see how I give oxygen mask instruction.....:)
