Navy Carrier Squadron...

A great example of some creativity and fun from VAW-116, the Sun Kings while deployed aboard ABRAHAM LINCOLN.

One thing to notice about a lot of these videos is the following;

1) There are a lot of different people (read diversity) working in the average military unit

2) Despite the possibly deadly nature of their work, they are there as volunteers and maintain a sense of purpose - if punctuated with a bit of fun.

It is these two factors that underpin the American military as the finest and most successful in the world. All of that, however, is moot against a public policy which ignores the overarching nature of the conflict to which they commit this aspect of our national treasure.

Very fun! I know it's somehow politicaly incorrect, but they should use these as recruiting tools.

My first degree was in radio, video, film production. I wanted to be a director and actor (how did I end up here???). I am so amazed at the things people are doing with these tiny digital cameras. Wish we had those around when we were in school. We did have high 8, but cutting and editing still demanded some high end equipment. And I always love a good hallway action shot (and no Scoot, I'm not talking about porn).

Sorry, but E2C pilots are never butch, emulating the drivel that is MTV may be closer to the truth. Having known some of these guys, they tend to be reserved and used to taking all the crap jobs.

Besides, everyone knows British theater is better than American theater...

Great vid. I didn't think you guys were allowed to have fun. Great to know you're all mixing it up like us worker bees.

Believe me, military life is long periods of boredom punctuated by moments of sheer terror. We certainly have our fun.

Hmmm. Sounds like they just need more additional duties if they have that much free time on their hands - oh, wait, they aren't part of CJTF-76. Nevermind...enjoy!
